Kids Will Love These: Nigella's Rocky Road Crunch Bars

And to be honest, I can't imagine an adult being unhappy with one of these Rocky Road Crunch Bars either.

First off these look sooo easy--they're easier than rice crispy treats, I think. And they look more upscale--you could easily serve these for dessert to guests or give these bars as a gift.

No baking at all!

Chewy, Fudgy, Melty: Nigella's Triple Chocolate Brownies

She is half master chef, half irresistible sales person.

I'm telling you Nigella could sell ice to an Eskimo--she has got me drooling over these brownies in the first 30 seconds!

I do like the idea of taking brownies up a few notches--not that plain brownies can ever be bad, but I LOVE when there are chips in the brownies. These have chocolate and white chocolate chips in there, so it has extra complexity.

This is the great thing about ice box cookies--you can make them ahead, store them, and then whip them out and bake however many you need when guests show up (or when you just crave chocolate).

And these are not just any ice box cookies--they are an intense, rich, dark chocolate that looks so dense and yummy!

Perfect with a tall glass of milk--I love the festive-ness of the colored candy dots!

Absolutely Adorable: Birthday Girl Cutie Cupcakes

These are cupcakes, and are they not the sweetest things!

I can see folks going ga-ga over these at either a child's or a grown up girl's party--so festive and whimsical!

The hair is chocolate icing done with a star tip, and you may have been able to tell that the hair ornament is actually a slice of raspberry (awwww!). Eyes and smile are black and pink gel.

So, it looks pretty easy to do--you could even use a box mix for the cupcakes and just customize the decorations like these here!

Ridiculously Easy: Nigella's Chocolate Pistachio Fudge

Oops, I forgot about the "Nigella Friday" thing I was gonna start on Chocolate Chipped, so here we are getting our belated Nigella fix:

Does it get any better than chocolate and pistachio fudge?????? And it's easy to make to boot!

This would be perfect for the holiday season, which I count as just about to start (I count October 1 as the start of the holiday season).

If you made this for someone as a holiday gift or had it around the house when guests dropped by, they would throw rose petals at your feet!

Can You Make This At Home? Pumpkin Chocolate Truffle Cake

It's that pumpkin time o' the year again!

Halloween is just around the corner, so it's time to start eating chocolate dishes shaped like pumpkins!

If anyone can figure out how to make this Pumpkin Chocolate Truffle Cake, please chime in.

This cake is like the Faberge Egg of cakes--teensy-tiny but oh so expensive!

On the inside it has decadent truffle-like cake:

Separating each cake layer is chocolate caramel truffle cream (swoon!!!!) and there's supposed to be a layer of white chocolate going around the edges.

All in all, this cake is a force to be reckoned with, but alas, I can find no recipe!

Surely if someone could figure this out, they could become a gazillionaire cuz this itsy-bitsy cake sells for $125 and is no longer available for buying as far as I can tell. Here it is at the Mrs. Field's website (and it's discontinued).

Our only hope is to be able to figure out how to make this at home--I have no idea where to even start.

Any ideas?

Exotic Indulgences: Mandarin Chocolate Cake

This cake is intensely dark, subtle, and unexpected--I can tell this just from looking at it!

You might never have thought about it before, but chocolate and orange are perfect complements to each other, and they just seem sophisticated and elegant to me.

This is a flourless chocolate cake infused with mandarin orange zest--now that's interesting!

Imagine this paired with some fresh mandarin orange slices and a dollop of fresh whipped cream...yum!

For Those Chocolate Emergencies: Chocolate Crinkles

If you've never tried chocolate crinkles, you MUST!

They are a cinch to make, deep, dark and fudgy on the inside and kind of crisp on the outside.

Plus they're so cute, as this photo shows--excellent photography here from Jamie Anne!

A great way to impress folks at the holidays--Last year around Christmas I decided to make some chocolate crinkles--I made the dough, shaped the dough into balls, then put them in the freezer for those "dessert emergency" situations that sometimes pop up when folks are in town for the holidays.

So, whenever someone would say, "Do you have anything sweet in the house?", I could say, "Why yes, give me a few minutes and I'll bring you something yummy."

Then I would pull the chocolate crinkle ball dough from the freezer, roll it in confectioner's sugar, and pop into the oven to bake.

And like 10 minutes later, I was serving fresh from the over chocolate crinkles!

Everyone was in awe...

These cookies are take-offs of that oh-so-popular New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe that I was telling you about before.

These have the added component of CRAISINS! In case ya don't know, crasins are dried cranberries, like a mix between a cranberry and a raisin.

YUM in a cookie with Chocolate! I can see these being a great holiday cookie too...
