peanut butter brick toast w/ choco syrup originally uploaded by aiyah
It has the word "toast" in it so I think this is acceptable breakfast fare, right?
Anyhoo, the genius photographer (and this photo is sheer genius) says that she got this from a restaurant, and that "brick toast" smeared with peanut butter and smothered in chocolate syrup is a very popular Taiwanese dessert/snack (and I say breakfast).
She also says "the toast is a good 2" in height and crunchy toasty on the outside but soft on the inside."
Yummers!!!!!
Does anyone know what "brick toast" is?
Some of my research says it's french toast cut real thick. Other resources say it's a thick slice of white bread dipped in sweet
condensed milk and coconut creme. After that, they put it in a toaster oven and it comes to you all warm and toasty.
Either of these sounds good to me!
And either way people, we can make this at home. It's uber thick french toast (or bread dipped in sweetened condensed milk and toasted), and then spread it with peanut butter, and then pour chocolate syrup on top.
How can that go wrong?
Might I suggest a side of marshmallow fluff and a tall glass of ice cold milk?
