I LOVE waffles, but it is true that it's not that easy to get the batter right.
Last time I was at my sister's house we used a waffle batter mix, and it turned out icky and flavorless--not what we were going for!
So when I saw this ingenius devil's food cake batter waffle idea, I was jumping up and down for joy!
The whipped cream and strawberries on top MAKE this dish, don't they?
