Praline Fudgy Goodness: Nib Nougatine Brownies

Wow, these are looking mighty tasty, aren't they?

When I first saw the recipe, I wondered "What is a nib nougatine exactly?"

Well, it looks like it's a type of brittle (like peanut brittle) except made with cocoa nibs.

It's the stuff that looks like pieces of amber jewels on the plate there.

Then you place the nougatine on top of the brownie batter and bake.

I think you end up with a praline like center--not sure, but really how can you go wrong?

This looks delish and kind of exotic for a brownie!

Ridiculously Easy: Nigella's Chocolate Pistachio Fudge

Oops, I forgot about the "Nigella Friday" thing I was gonna start on Chocolate Chipped, so here we are getting our belated Nigella fix:

Does it get any better than chocolate and pistachio fudge?????? And it's easy to make to boot!

This would be perfect for the holiday season, which I count as just about to start (I count October 1 as the start of the holiday season).

If you made this for someone as a holiday gift or had it around the house when guests dropped by, they would throw rose petals at your feet!

My hat is off to Isabelle, who took on the challenge of making eclairs from scratch!

I would never be brave enough to do that--one time in 9th grade I tried to make petit fours from scratch and the experience has scarred me for life!

But this photo just goes to show that is is possible to make homemade eclairs.

And these are not just any eclairs--the filling is an Earl Grey Cream, which sounds so fancy!

I can't even imagine what that would taste like, since I'm not much of a tea drinker, but it sounds tempting!

Alrighty, who is planning what they'll make for their Halloween parties?

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so full of imagination and mischief and CHOCOLATE!

Check out these lovelies--these cupcakes are devil's food cake with a buttercream frosting, and perched on top is an adorable candy pumpkin.

These little pumpkin candies are available in most Halloween sections now in stores.

They taste sort of like candy corn, and they totally make the cupcake!

Y'all, I would seriously just buy a devil's food cake mix in a box and used the canned frosting.

You can make it look all fancy like these by using a simple cake decorating set that will let you make the icing all swirly.

As you can see, I'm on a pumpkin kick with all these delish choco-pumpkin concoctions.

It is almost Halloween, people!

The air is a little cooler, so it sort of feels like the beginning of Fall--we must make pumpkin-y stuff now!

And for some reason I think that anything with pumpkin in it is perfect for breakfast--it's a fruit, is it not?

Y'all--this recipe looks amazing--this the cupcake version, but the recipe is for an entire cake.

In the cake version, they used an orange frosting and had chocolate ganache or something running down over the top (click the recipe link to see that pic).

These would be perfect for a Halloween party--and can we say that these are healthy cuz they have pumpkin in them?

I think so!

Can You Make This At Home? Pumpkin Chocolate Truffle Cake

It's that pumpkin time o' the year again!

Halloween is just around the corner, so it's time to start eating chocolate dishes shaped like pumpkins!

If anyone can figure out how to make this Pumpkin Chocolate Truffle Cake, please chime in.

This cake is like the Faberge Egg of cakes--teensy-tiny but oh so expensive!

On the inside it has decadent truffle-like cake:

Separating each cake layer is chocolate caramel truffle cream (swoon!!!!) and there's supposed to be a layer of white chocolate going around the edges.

All in all, this cake is a force to be reckoned with, but alas, I can find no recipe!

Surely if someone could figure this out, they could become a gazillionaire cuz this itsy-bitsy cake sells for $125 and is no longer available for buying as far as I can tell. Here it is at the Mrs. Field's website (and it's discontinued).

Our only hope is to be able to figure out how to make this at home--I have no idea where to even start.

Any ideas?
