Sometimes you can take a basic recipe and send it over the moon by simply making some spicy substitutions.
Remember the time when that other baker used spicy nuts in her brownies instead of the regular nuts? Genius!
Well this inventive baker/photographer took a basic Martha Stewart recipe for Chocolate Truffle Brownies and substituted chili chocolate ganache for the plain semi-sweet chocolate ganache that the recipe called for.
To accomplish this, I think you would just take some chili spiced chocolate (you can buy chili chocolate bars all over the place nowadays) and use that in the frosting part of the recipe.
Warning! Be sure that you have an ice cold glass of milk within reach when you take a bite of these--I hear they're SPICY!
Grab the recipe! Chili Chocolate Truffle Brownies (use chili chocolate ganache instead of the recipe's semi-sweet chocolate ganache to get the hot treatment)
I ADORE spice, so this sounds perfect!
By the way, you might like the recipe I just posted on my blog - it's a dense, fudgey, chocolaty creation :-)
