What Is The Candy On Top? Decadent Chocolate Cake

Any guesses as to the candy on top?

I am so bad at guessing--whenever I think it's M&M's, someone tells me that they're chocolate Skittles.

Whenever I think they're Skittles, someone tells me that they're chocolate Smarties.

I would say that those are M&M's but there is no logo on the candy--a dead give away.

And I guess the person who wrote the recipe thought putting candy on the top was a no-brainer :-) , as they didn't tell what kind they used.

At any rate--how can you go wrong with putting any type of candy on a cake? It only makes it better! :-)

Aha! That's what these candies look like--chocolate Smarties, which I've never seen in person before.
