dark chocolate ice cream with milk chocolate rice crunchies originally uploaded by chotda
Awww, the colors in this are amazing!
Look at that dark chocolate against the pink, and the pink crunchies are so playful looking--kids would love this!
And it's like 100 degrees outside, so this photo in particular is making me drool!
The cook/photographer says she based this off of a Pierre Hermes chocolate ice cream recipe, and then took some pink rice crunchies, coated them in melted chocolate, let them cool and then folded them into the ice cream.
(In the States I think we call them Rice Krispies, and they're a cereal so the cereal isle would be my guess as to where to find pink crunchies.)
Grab the recipe! The base: Dark Chocolate Ice Cream then add Rice Krispies or pink rice crunchies (if you have those in your store)
Wow. That photograph proves that "love at first sight" is a reality :0)

Yes, this photo is worthy of framing! The colors just make me happy (and the fact that it's delish looking ice cream and it's a furnace where I live :-))

Hey Andrea,
I am totally not up on my cereals--I am a Cheerios and Kashi kind of girl :-)
But I can totally believe that they have mixed berry krispies now--why didn't they come out with that when I was a kid?
