S'Mores Cupcake originally uploaded by kpetz1971
This is the cupcake version of the famous s'more treat, and it is adorable!
I am a sucker for s'mores--you cannot go wrong with chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers all toasty warm and melty!
The recipe comes from Martha Stewart's site, and there it even includes a recipe for Marshmallow Frosting!!!!
I never knew that there was such a thing, but now I'm wondering how I've lived without it for so long :-)
Grab the recipe! S'mores Cupcake
Now that looks like pure heaven. BTW with the strawberry cupcakes you posted a few week's back. Mom and I came up with a twist making it in cake form she added semi sweet chips to it. She also made it in cake form with maraschino cherries :) Yum.

Hey Andrea,
Oooo, your twists on the strawberry cupcakes sound divine! I love maraschino cherries--what a sweet idea for a cake :-)

Hey VeggieGirl,
Haha, I have never been camping in my life, but if I knew these s'mores cupcakes would be waiting for me, I might be tempted to go! :-)

what chocolate was used? normal unsweetened cocoa powder? in the video in martha stewart's site, it said Valrhona chocolate, but what was written was just cocoa and not dutch processed.

Could I use a different chocolate than the one that she referred to us?

Hi Meg,
So sorry for the late reply on this! The chocolate listed in the recipe is "cocoa powder (not Dutch-processed)"
I would just use regular cocoa powder--if it's Dutch processed it will say it on the container.
My container says "Hershey's Cocoa Natural Unsweetened"
Hope that helps!
