The baker/photographer says that she gets this uber melty chocolatey center look by placing a big chunk of chocolate right in the center of the cookie dough before baking.
You cannot go wrong with a big chunk of chocolate!

Wow, these chocolate chip cookies look fantastic, I would have never thought to put a chunk of chocolate in the center. I've totally got to try that soon!

Yeah these are calling my name. Oh, I can just imagine what it would taste like to bit into that big melted chunk of chocolate in the center! That makes the cookie for me!

I am still baking those cookies very often . my friends call them "grosse pépites" & they always are a huge hit. at least for chocolate lovers :) :)
