Oy, I had to show you guys this–guess what this is?
It’s Nutella! In case you’ve never had Nutella before–you MUST. I am like addicted to this stuff.
This stuff comes in a jar in the grocery store, and it is pure heaven. It’s chocolate hazelnut spread, and it is perfectly legitimate to eat it for breakfast (or dessert, or a midnight snack, or whenever).
Here are my favorite ways of eating Nutella:
*Straight out of the jar, on a spoon
*Pretzels dipped in Nutella
*Spread on a chocolate chip bagel
*Spread on a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream
*Smores!
*As a filling for crepes
*An open-faced Nutella, peanut butter and banana sandwich
Oh, I could go on and on! But enough about me–what is your favorite way to eat Nutella? Please share!
Grab the recipe! Homemade Nutella (you can also buy it in the grocery store pre-made. It’s usually in the peanut butter isle)

As a dip for strawberries and other fresh fruit segments; as a frosting or filling for baked goods; and even in smoothies! :0)

Oh, that is sweeet! In smoothies, you say? Never thought of that before! It would be perfect as a frosting (although when I’m eating it by the spoonful out of the jar I try not to think that I’m basically making a meal of frosting ;-) )

Ok, hold onto your hat but here’s one for the books. I call it Mandies Candies because I made it first for my friend Mandy’s birthday. Basically it’s graham crackers, with molten caramel that’s baked in the oven… you take it out of the oven and while it’s still really hot, you put dollops of Nutella on top and then a layer of chocolate chips. Wait a minute or two until the chocolate chips are melted and then smear the melted Nutella and chocolate chips together over the caramel. Then top it with hazelnuts or whatever you want…or nothing at all. Stick it in the fridge until it’s hard and break into pieces. Yummm!
I have the basic recipe on my blog but you’ll see it’s super versatile. You can use graham crackers or my personal favorite — saltines. I love the salty sweet combination! Check it out here:

My greatest treat is nutella on a Wasa cracker with a banana chaser. Nutella is just so crazy delicious.

Julia,
I am holding on to my hat, and still you floored me! Salty (the Saltines are intriguing) + Molten Caramel + Nutella + Chocolate Chips = Swooon!
Seriously, you just killed me with that description :-)

Hey giz,
Oooo, now relatively speaking (to the rest of us who are eating it straight out of the jar ;-) ), your Nutella fix sounds pretty healthy. I have to try that–that could be a breakfast, dessert, or a snack. I would even eat that for lunch or dinner!

Nutella and cheese sandwich =) Sounds bad but it’s good!

Hey Marina,
Cheese, you say? Very interesting, but I’d be willing to give it a shot at your recommendation :-) I trust your good taste!
