What is the first thing we see when we look at a cake? The frosting! It’s my favorite part of the cake, and whenever I get to experience the joy of frosting one I tend to want to make an artistic sculpture out of it, making it all swoopie with high peaks and a lot of movement.
There are certain frostings that are better than others for
achieving this swoopie frosting “look”, but from this photo it appears
that the frosting with this recipe is light and fluffy, smooth yet
firm. It’s perfect for making the frosting job look kinda artistic, and
this photo is making me drool.
The artistic baker/photographer says:
There’s coffee in the batter and the frosting which it makes tastes super rich and chocolatey. The cake itself is really moist and fluffy; almost like a lighter devil’s food. And the frosting….the frosting!!!
Ahem, I couldn’t have said it better myself. Yes, the frosting indeed!
